Automatic Insulin Injection Pen Pre-Assembly Machine

Automatic Insulin Injection Pen Pre-Assembly Machine
Details:
Cam-driven continuous-motion pen injector pre-assembly machine assembling 8–12 molded plastic components into structurally complete pen mechanisms at 160 pens per minute. The system features a 130-pallet circulating architecture with mechanical cam indexing for maximum throughput stability. Core processes include pen body shell loading, plunger rod insertion, lead screw assembly, clutch mechanism press-fit, gear train integration, number sleeve snap-fit, dose knob attachment, and drive sleeve welding. Kistler piezoelectric force sensors monitor all press-fit operations in real time; Keyence LVDT probes verify critical dimensional parameters at each station. 100% in-process inspection with automatic defect rejection. OEE ≥ 85% validated in production. Supports disposable insulin pens, GLP-1 pens, and reusable pen platforms with recipe-based changeover. Full DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ validation package included.

5-Cell Assembly Process

01/

Cell 1 - Loading & Vision: Component feeding with Keyence orientation verification. Lead screw direction confirmed before entry.

02/

Cell 2 - Sub-Assembly: Precision insertion with LVDT height measurement. Dimensional accuracy: 1–10 μm.

03/

Cell 3 - Consolidation: Rotor rib / bushing slot alignment. LVDT continuous verification of Gear 2, clutch sub-assembly, and plunger heights.

04/

Cell 4 - Threading: Dose sleeve, spring, and button assembly. Force applied only at thread engagement position. Vision verifies dose button color (multi-variant).

05/

Cell 5 - Testing: KISTLER torque & injection force test (330 mm/s, 10.0 N ± 1.0 N). Force-displacement curve stored per unit. Vision confirms "0" position alignment before discharge.
