Jordan Xu Publishes ONdrugDelivery Expert View on Integrated Injection Pen Assembly
Shanghai, October 2026 - Jordan Xu, Managing Director of DROFEN Machinery, has contributed an Expert View to ONdrugDelivery Issue 191, the October 2026 issue focused on Prefilled Syringes & Injection Devices.
The article, "From Fragmented Procurement to Integrated Assembly: How the Injectable Device Industry is Rethinking Equipment Strategy," appears on pages 136–139 of the issue and is available as a dedicated article on ONdrugDelivery.
In the article, Xu examines a practical challenge in scaling injection pen and other injectable drug-delivery-device manufacturing: separately sourced pre-assembly, final assembly, inspection and data systems may each perform well on their own, but their interfaces can create difficulties during integration and qualification.
The Expert View discusses how a unified control architecture can support electronic cam synchronisation, inline vision inspection and force–displacement monitoring, while making critical process data more coherent across the line. It also compares fragmented and integrated approaches to factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT) and equipment qualification.
